I'm not crazy about acrylics.

It's the idea of painting with plastics that just makes me cringe a little. I realize the practicality of them along with a certain modern sensibility but still I can't quite bring myself to delve into them enough to explore their potential. Having said that I did pick up a small set of Sennelier Abstract Acrylics. In sketching ideas I thought certain concepts might be easier to explore with a cheaper and faster drying medium than oils.

More Distraction

In this case, it's a simple A3 size paper with several layers of paint without any medium, layered and scratched at. The results were pleasing enough as a sketch and though I still feel fairly strong about the idea of acrylics there is at least some notion of usability. If I use them more in the future or not is well, anyone's guess.
