One thing is for sure, I'm guilty of playing in the mud.

Often through the course of painting day in and day out one might find they get a little lost in the process. You're swallowed up by all those trees you've been paying attention to and now you're lost in the forest. I'm guilty of this, of course. Lately I've really thrown myself into the process looking to let go of intention and see what happens when I just paint to paint.

It's an indulgent thing but perhaps a necessary one? I don't want to stay here forever, as enjoyable as it is. I've got plans and goals. For now though I'll enjoy the process a little while longer.
