path of most resistance
i work through the medium of oil and wax on paper to explore the subconscious line between active and non-active subjects. i look to move past traditional abstraction through seeing-in and closed eye hallucination techniques.
from here to there seems to be everywhere
the very act of navigation feels inherently wrong
it is not aimlessness
but the visceral push against life
that brings me breath
i seek to stimulate the tactile subconsciousness through instinctual themes that pervade a feeling of discovery. it is the edge of one’s emotional mind without intellectual hindrances. from this point i look to create visually direct paintings that aid the viewer in discovering their own subconscious. a sort of visually psychological language that resides in archetypes.
